VideoPress

VideoPress is an application that presents the lyrics from a database with the help of two screens, the idea is that the second screen is an overhead or a video projector. The software is not developed commercially and therefor there exists no guarantees that I will continue to maintain or develop, although I at the moment have no plans to stop. The application is released under The General Public License (GPL - http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html) and may therefor be distributed freely.

Requirements:

• Two graphics cards or a DualHead-card
• Windows98 or above
• VB5 runtime enviroment
• Maybe some Systemfiles

But as always with computers, the more (faster) the merrier!

Features:

• All texts are stored in a database
• You may search the database for titles and/or text
• You may create and store playlists
• Add and edit while running
• Write notes directly on the screen
• The program can be translated into almost any other language (see Translation)

New features:

• The Registry is no longer used to store the settings!! All settings are now stored in a file; ./VideoPress.xml
• TranslationFunction (v1.0):
  All static text can be translated into other languages, by the use of translationfiles in ./Translation/
  For more info, visit Translation. All files should be well formulated XML documents.
• A separate program is used to get your old settings from the Windows Registry, and store them in the VideoPress.xml. The program is called Migrate.exe and can be downloaded from here
• I have also started to design a program to create the translation files. Still not ready, you will have to edit the translation file by hand.

I have collected some files that you might need to get the program to run. As you will work in a windows enviroment, I can only wish you good luck. And send a mail if you manage to start the app!
